I was born in Kingston, JA known also as Jamaica West Indies. A small but vibrant Island with good hardworking people. We were raised by a single mom and we moved to America when I was 11 years old. Our first city my family moved to in America was Brooklyn, Eastern Parkway. We have a lot of extended family in Flatbush and Long Island, and church every week was mandatory. We moved from Brooklyn, to Allerton the Bronx, but three years or so later settled in suburban Mount Vernon because mama wanted us to go to Mount Vernon schools even though we lived in the Bronx. We had to take the Number 2 train to 241st, then take a bus to the square of Mount Vernon and another bus sometimes to the high school or walk the rest of the way. We eventually had to move to Mount Vernon. I have three beautiful children, two boys, one girl ages 8, 12 and 16. I have five siblings, four living and one has passed. RIP Gary. My first big gig was at a huge church charity fashion show, I think I was 17 or 18 years old. It was actually one of the scarier moments in my life, I had never modeled before so many people on a real runway before. If you are a model or have ever modeled, you know the moment you first hit a real run way and all those people staring at you and all you can do is strut as frozen as possible, and hope you do not catch a trip, Stage fright also, in the beginning kept me from entering my 7th grade talent show. I don't think you ever really get over it, you just learn to deal with it better, and better ...... I am actually a high school drop out, I dropped out in tenth grade and got my GED at a Mount Vernon high school extension. Personally I think the GED test is punishment for dropping out. Whoever devised this way of earning your high school credentials sure taught me a lesson, I had no idea I passed it and was pretty surprised I did. So being a high school drop out doesn't have to stop you from learning or completing your E.D goals. Now I live on the West Coast. I always wrote songs and left them in my song book, still do, that's what most songwriters do. Besides my family, music is my passion. My musical influences has no boundaries whatsoever. They include both living and passed on musicians. I listen to everything. I still think old school music is second to none. My first EP titled Socially Inept EP 1 is available in digital stores so go check it out :), you can also purchase tracks right here by navigating to the purchase music page. Thanks for reading.
